Dr Pike qualified as a doctor in 1987 from Kings College Hospital Medical School, London. After hospital jobs in London and Hastings, he trained as a GP in West Dorset. He qualified as a GP in 1991 and, after Partnerships in Beckenham (Kent) and Plymouth, settled in the Bristol area, where he now works as a freelance GP.

Dr Pike is interested in Asthma, mental health, diabetes, hypertension, clinical computing, prison medicine and out-of-hours medicine.

Dr Pike is married to a freelance GP and they have a young daughter. He is a keen amateur violinist and enjoys the arts, travel and photography.
