Dr Alan Sim trained at Aberdeen University (1988) , and finished his GP VTS in Inverness in 1992.

Subsequent hospital posts included a year working in Auckland, NZ. He also has 8 months hospice experience , and has obtained a Tropical Medicine diploma in Liverpool.

He has been doing freelance GP work since 1996, mostly in Birmingham,and moved to Chichester in 2002, with his partner Louise, to be nearer the sea.

He is a keen skier, and a fair weather windsurfer.
