Dr Wenman qualified as a doctor in 2000 from Southampton Medical School. After working in hospital medicine in Chichester, Southampton and Aylesbury she qualified as a GP in 2006.

Her medical interests include paediatrics, emergency medicine and psychology.

Dr Wenman is a medical officer for St John Ambulance in her spare time.
