Dr Ruhin Karim qualified from St George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada and Guys Kings and St Thomas’s London in 2002. Dr Karim then worked in various hospitals along the South Coast before completing his GP training in 2009. As well as being a freelance GP, he works as a forensic medical examiner and with the prison service.

Dr Karim has a specialist interest in surgery, evidence base medicine and can perform minor surgical procedures. Dr Karim also enjoys teaching medical students and is aiming to continue to improve his teaching skills.

Dr Karim also speaks fluent Bengali and does voluntary work for the Bangladesh Welfare Association in Portsmouth. He has 2 children and enjoys travelling and exploring different parts of the world.
