Chamber Lead
MRCGP, DTM&H, MBBS, MA (Oxon.)
I attended King's College medical school in London and then stayed on in the capital to complete my foundation and GP training. After my time as a junior doctor, I completed the diploma of tropical medicine which enabled me to work with drug resistant malaria in Cambodia and then in an Ebola Treatment Centre in Sierra Leone during the Ebola Pandemic of 2013-16. On my return, I worked in a busy London GP surgery as a salaried doctor and the practice safeguarding lead. I now work as an NHS locum GP alongside international medical work. I am also keen on expedition medicine having worked as the ship's medic on an arduous South Pacific sailing adventure and with the British Exploring Society in the Peruvian Amazon. I love working as a general practitioner with all the variety this brings. I am interested in paediatrics, dermatology, mental health and men's health. This is alongside my interest in tropical and travel medicine. Alas, a new baby has kept me away from any more adventures or expeditions for the moment but I can still find my outdoor thrills locally! I am a keen hiker, beach-goer and aspirant kite surfer.

BSc, I&S Prescribing
I joined South East Coast Ambulance Service in January 2005 and quickly worked my way to become a Technician, Paramedic and then a Paramedic Practitioner gaining a BSc in Healthcare Practice. I spent approximately 9 years on the road dealing with a wide variety of patients, before joining a local surgery as a Paramedic Practitioner assisting the duty doctor with the on-call duty days. I manage acute minor illnesses, but also patients that require more urgent medical needs, sometimes quite complex and therefore I can refer to the medics and surgeons on the day. I enjoy working with minor illnesses, and assessing the very sick patient. I recently qualified as an Independent and Supplementary prescriber, which has added value to my practice, enabling me to prescribe medication and treat the patient in a timely fashion. My interests include frailty, older persons care and COPD. I love walking and running, I have completed a London Marathon in the past, these days I mainly take part in park runs and 10k runs. I really enjoy trail running over the South Downs. I speak Italian and I am about to start learning conversational Greek. I am keen to learn Wing Foiling. I love socialising with good friends. I am really interested in interior design and gained a City and Guilds qualification many years ago in soft furnishing and upholstery.
