Bleeding and HRT webinar
This educational webinar will allow Dr Louise Price and Dr Lindsey Thomas, two primary care menopause specialists, to discuss bleeding issues relating to HRT and provide an opportunity for PCWHF Members to ask the questions they are needing the answers for.
The recent rapid increase in use of HRT has led to many women presenting to primary care with unpredictable bleeding. This is causing concern to women, primary and secondary care clinicians in terms of increasing referral rates and the impact this is having on two week wait clinics.
She currently spends her clinical time doing 2 days a week general practice and 1 day a week general gynaecology in secondary care. Her main area of interest is Menopause and she is currently completing her advanced special skills module which will enable her to work as a menopause specialist.
She is a board member of the Primary Care Women’s Health Forum.
She has worked as a GP for the last 16 years, in a large inner city practice in Sheffield, where much of her time has been spent working in women’s and sexual health. She developed a specialist interest in the menopause, after witnessing many patients, and friends, struggling during this stage in life. She is a registered British Menopause Society Specialist, with their highest level of training; the Advanced Certificate.
She is also an Accredited Menopause Trainer, helping others to develop a specialism in this area. She has developed an interest in women with an earlier onset of menopause but enjoys all aspects of menopause care.
