Begin Before Birth: An Update on Perinatal Mental Health

This meeting will reveal fascinating insights into perinatal mental health. Chaired by Professor Vivette Glover, this symposium brings together international experts to discuss mental health matters for parents and their babies, giving updates on the latest research.

The programme will be of interest to all those who care for women in the perinatal period including health visitors, midwives, obstetricians, psychologists, psychiatrists, GPs, and paediatricians, as well as researchers, commissioners, and charity workers. The conference will cover an overview of the range of mental health problems that can occur in the perinatal period and how best to deal with them; domestic violence and how to help; cultural differences; effects on the baby; and how music can help. The conference consists of seven expert speakers and the opportunity for a question and answer sessions. It will take place on 26 October 2023, you will have access to the conference materials for the following year.

We welcome attendees from both within and outside the UK. The fee for those from low and middle-income countries is £15, but please contact us if that is a problem for you.
